When good times come, you need to take by the horns and make the most of it. This is what I have learned anyway.
I will admit 2017 hasn’t been the best year for me. It’s been filled with more down times than up and now I have come out the other side feeling more myself again I wanted to share what I have been up to and what I’m looking forward to. Also I wanted to show off this hilarious shot Kaye got of me laughing, maybe not be the most flattering look but I’m happy.

My Not-So-New Job
For the first time in forever I can honestly say that I enjoy my job, not just that but I actually get along well with my colleagues! All of the jobs I had after dropping out of university where all temporary so I never felt like I was part of the team and it was never what I wanted to do long term. Now I work for an online technology retailer doing web content and let’s just say so far so good.
I’m Off to Copenhagen
The boyfriend and I have finally booked our first city break at the end of this month for our anniversary! We wanted to go somewhere we’ve never been before and since Denmark has been on the top of my list for a while now we thought it would be the perfect place to escape to for a long weekend. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure to post loads of photos of our yummy food and the great architecture while we’re there.
Autumn is Almost Here
I know this is just another blogger cliché but I don’t care; I’m honestly so relieved that Autumn is finally on its way. Our summers are too erratic now and as much as I love Spring, you can’t beat getting into your comfy pyjamas when it’s cold outside and curl up with a book and a hot chocolate. Don’t fight on this you know I’m right!
My New-Found Confidence with Fashion
I wouldn’t say my fashion sense was boring before but when it came to shopping for clothes I would tend to stick to the same things like jeans, graphic tees and trainers. After my 23rd birthday in July I decided that I wanted to try different styles which started off with a new pair of heels that are now one of my favourite ones to wear. I feel like a boss when I walk in them and who doesn’t want shoes that give them confidence?
Ali Caitrin 2.0
If you’re a regular reader of Ali Caitrin then you may have seen that things look a bit different around here and that’s because I’ve officially rebranded and moved over to WordPress! I felt like it was the right time to take that leap and I know I have made the right decision. I can’t take all the credit as Phil at Pipdig did all the hard work and I’m so thankful for all his help! I have a good feeling about this.
What are you happy about right now?

That is so lovely of you to say <3 I was so nervous that day as I never had photos taken like that of me before but I'm happy with how they turned out. Kaye is a talented photographer π
I'm glad this post has given you some motivation too!
I am happy that I’m back to blogging. This year has been pretty rough for me too, but I’m extremely hopeful that these next 4 months will be better. I really enjoyed this read! Have fun in Copenhagen!

Honestly girl I feel you! I didn’t blog for about 3/4 months because I just wasn’t in the right head space and now that I’m back I know the break was just what I needed at the time. Good luck with the rest of 2017 π
Firstly: how gorgeous is your blog template!? So surprised I haven’t discovered your blog sooner, will definitely be sticking around <3

Awh thank you so much Morgan, I got it from Pipdig because their templates are just beautiful! I’m glad you enjoyed the read π
I’m really impressed with your rebrand. It looks so slick and professional!
I can completely relate to your fashion woes. I’m currently in your before-stage, I guess; buying what’s comfortable and sticking to what I know rather than experimenting. It’s great that you’re experimenting more; I love those heels you’re wearing in the photoshoot! They really suit you. I love the other picture you included in this post, too; you can definitely tell you were happy!

Yay I’m glad you like the rebrand Rebekah! It took me a while to decide what I wanted so it was good that I took my time with it.
Also that’s why I first started with the heels and didn’t completely change my wardrobe, I wanted to take it one step at a time. I’m not always good with change so I have to ease myself into it lol! I still have my own style but with a dash of experimenting π
That photo is great! You are 100% gorgeous on it π love a good photo of someone genuinely happy! And I feel you on the “love my job and get on well with my colleagues” there isn’t a better felling! x

Thank you Kirsty, I really do like that photo! I must admit it feels great when you enjoy the job and the people you work with, there are still stressful times but the pros definitely outweigh that one con π
Your new blog looks amazing (I don’t know what it looked like before, but I love this one!) and it’s lovely to see you so happy. I really like reading posts like this – they just fill me with warmth and positivity!
